Romanian expansion for Rabelink

Our Romanian branch in Cicarlau, Baia Mare is expanding. By taking over logistics service provider Lups Pitt, we will gain trucks, trailers and colleagues. The acquisition contract was recently signed in the presence of Alex Kerekes, Rabelink's general manager in Romania.

Rabelink Lups Pitt

Rabelink has had a branch in Romania since the logistics arm Rabelink Logistics SRL was established in 2014, followed a year later by the transport arm in the form of Rabelink Transport SRL. With that, we already had access to 20 trucks, with this acquisition our fleet has expanded to 14 trucks and 13 trailers. Moreover, we have been able to welcome new colleagues: all Lups Pitt drivers have signed a new contract with Rabelink, as have the planner and mechanic. Furthermore, in Baia Mare we now have access to Lups Pitt's premises, the offices, the workshop and a small transhipment hall.

Lups Pitt drove for the vast majority for one customer, namely Universal Alloy Corporation Europe (UAC). This will remain so for the time being. In the coming period, we will investigate how we can also use the trucks more for our Dutch transport/forwarding department. This mainly concerns full truckloads (FTLs). At the same time, UAC has also indicated it wants to make more use of our services.
